Fees and contracts
Course fees
TaalTafels has one fee per hour for all students, which is € 18,-, materials and tests excluded. The costs of books, practice materials and tests for the B1-route (A0 to B1) are € 350,- maximum. This includes the tests to measure progress cost which cost € 12,- per skill (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and are taken in consultation or at the request of the student. From August 1, 2024 we will increase our hourly rate to € 18 (inflation correction)
For family migrants and DUO students, intake and progress tests are mandatory.
The costs per route, for example for the B1-route or for a course B1 – B2, as stated in the overview on this site, indicate an average or target price based on 3 to 5 hours of self-study per week. The higher the level, the more self-study is needed. The duration of a trajectory has been tested in practice and is on average correct for students with a high learning profile.
Contracts
The contracts from TaalTafels are based on the average duration of a trajectory, as indicated on this site. TaalTafels works with ongoing groups so students can always enroll and join a group at any time at their own level. For instance, if you start at the A0 level, you sign a contract from A0 to A2 for 120 hours. But if you start at the A1 level some weeks later, we will match the duration of the contract to the time needed to get to A2. This is the same for A2 to B1 or B1 to B2 level. Important to realize is that students who study a lot, are given the possibility to go faster to a next level.
All contracts have no notice period. If you want to stop or pause the lessons for a longer time, we only charge one week of costst.
