Subsidy The Hague

Language for specific target groups

The municipality of The Hague has made a subsidy available for 2025 for adult education to increase the language level for specific target groups.

TaalTafels gratefully makes use of this to support highly educated people in increasing the Dutch language level that is necessary to (eventually) be able to work again based on their own study and training background.

This concerns highly educated people with a disadvantage on the labor market, on benefits or working at too low a work level and lacking the resources to be able to grow to the required language level.

There are now 3 subsidy groups running to achieve the B1 and B2 level and the B2+ level for the BIG registration.

In addition to the lessons at school, the groups are supported by an enthusiastic group of language coaches, all volunteers, by offering 1 and 2-weekly conversation lessons.

If you want to know whether you qualify for these subsidized – and therefore free – lessons, please contact the school. During an intake interview we will see if you meet the criteria requirements of the subsidy scheme.

Please note: this only applies to students who are registered as living in The Hague.

The Hague: thank you!
